The Importance of Auto Glass Repair

When a windshield is cracked or chipped, it compromises its structural integrity. This means that in the event of an auto accident, your vehicle isn't nearly as safe as it would be if it were intact. it's pretty humbling to realize that something that's typically overlooked like autoglass could be the difference between being rushed to the hospital or walking away unscathed after an accident.

We are proud to offer the following services to the good people of Fountain Valley, CA:

  • Windshield repair
  • Fleet auto glass repair
  • Auto glass replacement

As a general rule of thumb that you'll hear from other industry professionals, if a windshield crack is shorter than two inches or the chip/bullseye is no bigger than an inch, there's a good chance that a repair will be possible.

But although cost savings are important to us, those are a secondary goal. We may very well provide the best mobile auto glass repair services in Orange County, but safety is always first, 100% of the time. So you can trust us when we say that we will never compromise your safety or put you and your loved ones at risk in our effort to save you a few bucks. We will do our best to repair any damage (and we're good at it) but we will always recommend the safest course of action. If that means that a full windshield replacement is necessary, then that's exactly what we'll do.

Our Mobile Auto Glass Repair Services

We are proud to offer our services to our community in Fountain Valley, as well as other Orange County cities. We offer the following auto glass repair services:

Windshield Repair

During a windshield repair service, your technician will inject a specialized resin into the crack or chipped portion of the glass. Next, a UV light will be used to harden and set the resin. When a resin is properly injected and adhered, the crack or chip will not expand any further. Once this step is complete, you will no longer be able to see where the crack was in the windshield (which is our favorite part.)

Fleet Auto Glass Repair

Fleet vehicles are some of the hardest-working vehicles on the road. With so much time pounding the pavement, cracks and chips in windshields are inevitable. And the tricky part is, these vehicles come in all shapes and sizes. This means you'll need auto glass repair technicians that are experienced with all makes and models to ensure that the best work possible is being done on your fleet. We're talking from foreign to domestic, from vans to commercial vehicles. No matter what you've got, we've got you. We understand that these are your money makers, and you'll need them in tip top shape asap.

Windshield Replacement

Be wary of any auto glass repair professionals who try to immediately steer you towards a windshield replacement. It may very well be the only option, but often times it's not. Our expert technicians will do a full evaluation to determine the safest route to take. But in the event that a windshield replacement is needed, here's the scoop.
We are particularly fond of using Original Equipment Manufactured (also known as OEM or Factory Glass) for our windshield replacement services. This means it's the same glass that was put on the vehicle when it was born, fresh out of the factory. OEM glass is the highest quality possible, made under the strictest guidelines of the manufacturer. So you can feel safe and secure.

Vandalization Repair Service

There are few more stressful situations in life than having to deal with the aftermath of a burglary or vandalization. It's an emotionally delicate time that often leaves people feeling unsafe and violated. At moments like these, you'll need an honest repair worker who is ready to show compassion and consideration to you during this difficult time.
During this service, we will come to you as quickly as possible to replace any damaged door or vent glass. Then we will take care to vacuum out as much of the remaining debris from inside of your door panel and seats as we possibly can.

FAQ About Mobile Auto Glass Repair Services

  • What are the different types of glass used for repairs?

There are three different types of glass that auto glass repair companies use for repairs.

    1. OEM or Original Equipment Manufactured glass. This the glass that the manufacturer puts on the vehicle when it is made. By the industry's standards, it's considered to be of the highest possible quality because of its strict adherence to the manufacturer's standards.

    2. Factory Equivalent glass. This glass is of the same high quality as OEM glass, but since the glass is not supplied directly to the car manufacturer, it is only considered an equivalent. As a result, you're able to get the same quality as OEM at a lower price.

    3. Generic glass. Just a note: We don't recommend this. This glass is typically made by domestic or overseas companies that have not been approved to supply glass to car manufacturers for use use on their vehicles. You'll generally find lower quality here, and cheaper prices.

  • I have a small crack on my windshield. How long can I wait to have it repaired?

We're going to be honest with you here--you should have that cracked repaired as quickly as possible. It takes virtually no time for small cracks to become long cracks, and then you'll be looking at a more dangerous situation for you and your passengers as well as a more costly repair.

  • I have a big crack in my windshield. Can you repair it?

This depends on a number of factors. Although we have been successful in repairing large cracks, some cracks just cannot be repaired safely. The location of the crack also matters. If the damage has occured in a portion of the driver's "critical area,"--the area above the steering wheel about the size of an 8.5x11" sheet of paper--a windshield replacement is typically recommended. Our expert technicians will determine if the damage can be repaired or if a full replacement is necessary.

  • I found a windshield repair kit online. Can't I just use that?

Unfortunately, these cheap at-home windshield repair kits just do not work. We understand that the low cost can be appealing when unexpected auto damage occurs, but trust us on this one. The epoxy products sold in these kits have not been used by professionals for decades for good reason. The modern resins are more advanced and complex acrylic compounds to completely fill the entire crack. And if a crack is not completely filled, it is not truly repaired.

  • How long does a windshield replacement take?

For a full replacement, we're talking about an hour for the actual service, but the car will need to sit for more time while the urethane cures. So depending on weather conditions, you're looking at 2-4 hours before you're able to drive the car away.

  • How much does a windshield repair or replacement cost?

Our professional auto glass technicians will assess the damage done to your auto glass to let you know whether a repair or replacement would be the best course of action. You can trust our highly trained, certified and qualified industry technicians to make the correct call with your safety in mind, and an honest, fair quote.

May Be Repaired Should Be Replaced
Only the outer layer of the glass has been damaged Both the inner and outer layer of the glass is damaged
